Dog Calendars

I am so excited to tell you all of a new adventure I will be entering into. I have taken Photoshop element classes as well as downloaded calendar software and have now been able to create awesome pictures by importing my own Rocky into really cool photo backgrounds, along with being able to personalize messages. I will starting a new website to actually show this off as well as sell. If anyone will be interested in this please email me and I will give you some specifics. You can send a cd of different shots of your pet and I can pick and choose what I pick and pull from photo and add to different backgrounds. Looking forward to selling and sharing this really cool idea. Why pay 19.95 for a Boston terrier calendar that is just plain photos of random (but cute) bostons when you can have a calendar of this sort with your OWN BOSTON!

Indestructible toys

Anyone out there have experiences with toys that last more than a day? Rocky turned 3 on 5/28/08 and again I bought him new toys. One was a rubbery round toy with spikes on a rope. He as chewed the rope off so far, although he is enjoying the rubbery ball. THe other toy was just a nylarbone but in the middle has bumps for teeth cleaning. He likes that too. Would love some other suggestions.

Problem biting

Ok people, I'm throwing this out there... We have a problem...Rocky is such a good boy but when we leave to go to work or just out without him, he has started chasing us to the door biting at our pant legs, legs in general or jumping up barking, basically mad were leaving him. Tried giving him a treat when we leave, but he drops it to chase us out the door. Becoming a problem... Anyone have this experience? HELP!

Snuggle sacks

I'm so excited about this new website I found and am anxiously awaiting my new hand crafted snuggle sack. I have been searching for something for Rocky as his crate has a huge comforter that he burrows in , but to pull it out and wash it from time to time is a pain. Eye issues

Came home last night and Rockys eye had ruptured a blood vessel. Bright red blood splot over his eye. Looked really scary, but he wasnt in any pain. You know those eyes, they sometimes seem like there going to pop from their little heads! He's better today, its fading...

Fostering

Anyone out there ever been a foster home for bostons. I have been approached to do so and not really sure what it is all about. Would love to hear from anyone who has done so or knows someone. I dont know if it would be a big interruption for our Rocky, or if we would get attached...I just dont know...

The Hug

I have to say one of the most favorite things my Boston does is when I arrive home or I am just sitting in a chair, he'll jump up and put his two paws around my neck and just kiss away! Its just like a hug...he's so affectionate.

Sun Worshiper

Do your boston's love the sun as much as ours? He'll follow the spot around all morning!

The uncontrollable sneeze

Did your pet ever sound like he's wheezing in and out and cant stop? He's actually sneezing! I dont know if all dogs or just these flat faced breeds ( I previously owned an English Bulldog) sneeze this way but its called an inside out sneeze. On more than one occasion that seemed to last for minutes, I picked up the dog and brought him outside. He immediately stopped, seemed as if he caught his breath... so just a little tidbit of help that worked for us because if you dont realize whats happening , it sounds really scary as if they cant breath.

Favorite toy

Anyone familiar with this ball? We call it Mr.Feets, although the first thing our dog does is chew the feet off, he is obsessed with it....Carries it around in his mouth, and hounds you to play catch...until we give up!

Allergies

Anyone out there have problems with their boston's having allergies? Our Rocky is actually allergic to grass...if he lays on it he gets a blood red rash on his belly. We now give him Benadryl if he's going to be outside and it works great. Other than that he's pretty healthy.

Is two better than one?

Hi Joy appreciated your comment. Would love to hear some stories of owners who have two or more Boston's ... Would love to know...do they wear each other out? Because our's just will not quit until its time for bed. He loves playing catch, but we usually give in before him. Ponder all the time " should we get another? or will it be more work?"
